Clarification for public regarding the Exploration License near “Crepule” the Municipality of Zubin Potok, Prishtina
We inform the general public that ICMM is the only institution to license mining activities in the Republic of Kosovo.
ICMM exercises its function under the Law of Mines Minerals No.03/163 respectively Law No.04/L-158 on Amending and Supplementing the basic law and relevant laws. Thus licensing of mining companies is done according to the provisions of the mentioned laws and consents from relevant institutions.
Therefore, in order to inform the public right and based as well to many questions addressed to ICMM from different mediums, we inform you that:
In the area – near Crepule in the Municipality of Zubin Potok, ICMM has issued license for exploration of metallic mineral resources for the enterprise “A.GJ.A.” L.l.c. with No. 1508/ICMM/2015. License is issued on 11 December 2015, and it is valid until 02 December 2017, whereas the surface of the licensed area is 9820800 m2, respectively 9.82 km2.
Also we inform you that mining of mineral resources can commence only after the enterprise applies for a mining license to the ICMM and if it fulfils legal conditions upon application.
