The ICMM Board and Director had a meeting on 17.10.2017 with the First Secretary of the Embassy of Kosovo in Canada Mr. Shaban Gosalci and the Director for Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Mr. Turkish Dalifi.
The Chairman of the Board Mr. Musa Shabani welcomed the guests and he thanked them for their support offered by the Embassy of Canada for the ICMM representatives in the participation in the PDAC Conference in Toronto, Canada held on March 2017 and it was considered as the most successful conference to promote mining sector of the Republic of Kosovo,
Mr. Gosalci thanked the ICMM for hospitality and cooperation for the interest to promote mining sector. He as well emphasized to begin now with necessary preparation in order that the Republic of Kosovo to have a better presentation in the future PDAC Conference to be held from 4-8 March 2018 in Toronto which it is one of the biggest conferences in the whole world to promote mining sector. The ICMM appreciated very much the support of the Embassy of Kosovo in Canada, where it was achieved to present Kosovo and mining sector in some very important forums in Canada from the last participation in the PDAC Conference, from which it resulted the expressions of interest of the Canadian companies to invest in Kosovo.
Both parties discussed that it is important that Kosovo in the future conference to have a greater presentation comparing with the previous years and to have presentations of the concrete projects. The parties agreed to work together with MED, MTI, MIA and PAK to identify the projects which can be presented and promoted in this Conference, and as well they took mutual duties to do the necessary preparations.
